CLIVE GUY MARKS, B.D.S, graduated from Bristol dental school in 1981, and maintains a keen interest in post-graduate education, In 1993 he undertook the year-long course in Restorative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute, London.
For 1998-99 he was President of the Wessex Branch of the British Dental Association, having previously been Chairman and Secretary of his local B.D.A. Section. He has also been a Council member of the British Society for Restorative Dentistry.
Outside dentistry, Clive sings in various choirs, an interest kindled during school days at Worcester Cathedral. Some of the recordings have won international awards. Having grown up in the Devon countryside, he also enjoys many aspects of natural history.
He took part in the Ocean Youth Club's World Voyage, as second mate on the Sydney-Darwin leg, retracing Capt. Cook's exploration of Australia's East Coast. In preparation for this he gained his "Yachtmaster" certificate and P.A.D.I. scuba-diving qualification.
