With the help of improving techniques and materials this can mean so much more than crowns and bridges.

A discoloured tooth can be transformed with a veneer ( like a false fingernail) bonded to the surface of the tooth.

Slightly reshaping the natural tooth can dramatically improve its appearance and apparent alignment. This can be achieved by ether bonding some natural shade material to the tooth, or lightly trimming the edge of the tooth.

Gold jewellery can be reversibly bonded to the front of the teeth for that added sparkle without damaging the healthy tooth. There are currently 20 different styles available. The se can be safely removed at a later date when the mood passes.

Transfers for teeth are also being developed for those festive occasions. All good fun and safe.

Bleaching of teeth is currently illegal in this country and there are unanswered concerns about the long-term effects of the technique.
